The consortium AMP (Architects of Modern Power) announced the introduction of the first standard which aims to define common mechanical and electrical specifications for the development of advanced power conversion for use in distributed power systems.

For ballasts brick size equal to 58,42 x 36,83 mm and a power range of 420 and 468 W, The consortium has set the standard 'ABC-qbAMP’. These standards define the mechanical dimensions, the characteristics and configuration files.
