RS Components ha ampliato l’offerta di schede per lo sviluppo e la prototipazione di sistemi elettronici open-source basati sulla piattaforma Arduino con l’aggiunta della Yun new Arduino Mini.
The card Yun Mini has a printed circuit board by 71 x 22mm, ie less than half of Arduino Yun, while the USB connector extends the length to about 73mm. The small size of the board makes it ideal to be installed in small spaces, especially in projects related to home automation, where the insertion of electronic devices in casings of small size can greatly enhance the flexibility of installation.
The board Yun Mini is an economical solution suited to experimentation that houses a microcontroller ATmega32u4 and an integrated circuit system-on-chip Qualcomm Atheros AR9331, with a MIPS 24K CPU running up to 400 MHz. The operating system is a Linux distribution based on OpenWRT called Linino. A library bridge allows to communicate between them the two processors, making it possible for programs Arduino to run scripts in the shell, communicate with network interfaces and receive information processor AR9331.
Maximum customization
The board Yun Mini can be customized by connecting up to two of the three available accessories: dogRJ45, dogUSB e dogUSB eMMC. Accessory dogRJ45 is an Ethernet port to 10/100 Mbps, dogUSB is a USB type A connector with USB hub 2.0 that with a slot for mini SD used to extend memory card, while dogUSB eMMC is a USB type A 4 GB of flash memory.
The board can be powered by a DC voltage of 5V obtained from the micro-USB connection, which it is the solution suggested. However, è possibile anche utilizzare una tensione continua regolata di 5V per alimentare la scheda tramite il piedino Vin. La scheda Yun Mini può essere programmata con il software Arduino downloadable arduino.org/downloads and Linino IO downloadable www.linino.org.
