Molex improves Ethernet for automotive

Molex announced that the line connection systems Mini50 ™ has played a key role in defining the guidelines of performance relative to Single Twisted Pair Ethernet (IEEE P802.3bw 100BASE-T1), whose presentation was scheduled for 2015 by automotive OEMs.

The Mini50 was among the first systems to connect to possess the characteristics required for transmission of 100 Mbps and became therefore the evaluation platform for many industrial developers. For example, the recent “Automotive Ethernet – The Definitive Guide“, published by Intrepid Control Systems and Harman, highlights the Mini50 as a solution of the fact.

Also, the system has been shown to provide performance suitable for systems in 1 Gbps with appropriate combination of cables and manufacturing processes. With the automotive industry that is moving rapidly towards solutions based on Ethernet, era di importanza fondamentale individuare un sistema di connessione che soddisfacesse i requisiti USCAR e altre specifiche del settore. Mini50 soddisfa i requisiti per cavi Jacketed Unshielded Twisted Pair (JUTP) by 15 meters long and other standard requirements of the sector.
