Avago Technologies announces two new series of devices for the gate drive optocouplers: ACPL-P/W347 and ACPL-P/W349. It is optocouplers for the gate driver 1A and 2.5A designed to protect and to drive the next generation of semiconductor fast switching of the power MOSFET as a silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) in applications such as power inverters, motor drives and power supplies to the power switching (switching power supplies, SPS).

Among the main features:

  • Maximum Propagation Delay 110 ns
  • Wide range of operating VCC: from 15 to 30 V
  • Voltage Rail-to-rail output
  • Maximum peak current output 2,5 A (ACPL-P/W349)
  • Maximum peak current output 1,0 A (ACPL-P/W347)
  • Protezione Under Voltage Lock-Out (ULVO) with hysteresis
  • Minimum common mode rejection high (CMR) 50 kV/µs
  • Container SO6 small and elongated, that minimizes the overall dimensions and the cost of the printed circuit board
  • Safety approved by CSA, UL e IEC
  • According to IEC / EN / DIN EN 60747-5-5: VIORM = 891 VPEAK (ACPL-P347/349),VIORM = 1.140 VPEAK (ACPL-W347 / 349)
  • According to UL1577: TOTAL = 3.750 VRMS (ACPL-P347/349), TOTAL = 5.000 VRMS (ACPL-W347 / 349)
